Kumari came to the University of Kentucky in spring 2016. She is working with Dr. Jian Yang on the valuation of ecosystem services from mined areas for her Master’s thesis. She has undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Forestry Science from Nepal, and she is interested in how changes in environmental services can affect health of wildlife and people. During her free time, she loves cooking, long drives with her husband, listening to old songs, and imagining. She will graduate in May 2018 and plans to enter a PhD program in the fall.
