Support a Forestry Student
Help support a UK Forestry student attend the 2019 National SAF Convention in Louisville, Ky.
Forestry Alumni,
This spring many of our forestry alumni participated in UK’s first 24-hour day of giving called “One Day for UK." Our generous forestry alumni contributed over $4,200 to help send 26 students to the 2019 National SAF Convention in Louisville this fall! That provides enough funds to send all of our forestry juniors and seniors to the SAF meeting.
For those of you that missed our spring giving opportunity, we hope that you will consider contributing to help send the freshmen and sophomore forestry students to the SAF Convention. If you can sponsor more than one student, great! If you can only afford part of a registration fee, that works too. Since the meeting is at our doorstep, the only real cost for sending students is the registration fee of $160.
Click here "Give to the Forestry Enrichment Fund” (or click link above) to donate. We appreciate you helping us get 100 percent of our forestry students to the SAF meeting.
Just a reminder, the Department’s faculty and staff are on board with this initiative. Students will have an excused absence for attending and our instructors will work to ensure that scheduling and classes are not a hindrance. Also, the Department will help with transportation and other arrangements to make attendance accessible for all.
Thank you for all that you do to support our program. We hope to see you at one of our events this fall! Be sure to mark your calendar for the fall 2019 alumni events.
