Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Kit Return Protocol

*Do not return any equipment with leftover pesticide * 

• Remove plant materials that may have accumulated in the kit container, especially anything that could carry the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid. 

• Record the conditions of the returned equipment and note anything damaged, lost, or discarded on the checklist. This could include lost Nalgene caps, punctured 2.5-gallon jugs, used nitrile gloves, and/or scratched safety glasses. 

• Clean the leftover pesticide in the Nalgene bottles by rinsing it with water and disposing the remaining contents away from non-target areas and waterways. Ideally adjacent to a treated Hemlock. Fill Nalgene halfway with water and repeat this action three times.
