UK Canopy Cats
Have you ever wanted to learn how to climb a tree? The UK Canopy Cats can show you how! Not only is tree climbing the best way to explore a tree, but it can help you develop skills to pursue careers in canopy research, arboriculture, tree house building, and more. The UK Canopy Cats are based out of the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources in the Thomas Poe Cooper Building and are supported by the Forest Ecophysiology lab. We are a combination of an outreach organization that provides training in rec climbing for students on campus AND we conduct canopy research. Check out how tree climbing is an integral part of our research at UK.
